Tract House #4A

This house design had been hanging around a long time, even though the house is small, and doesn't have very many "interesting" features. It just took a while to decide I was finished (and of course, the time to finish it). I do like the high, cathedral ceilings in the living room, with the open stairs that lead up to a small study/family room/play room. This does give the main living areas a nice, open feel.

Some things worth noting:

On the second floor (below), you might want to note the following:

This view is (more or less) from the bottom of the stairs, just inside the front door. Note the dining room visible at the rear.

Here is looking from the front right corner, back toward the stairs and the hall to the master bedroom. I debated over placing the diagonal tile in the dining room, and opted for it to help separate the spaces. Carpeting would look nice, as well (perhaps better). Note the playroom/study at the top of the stairs.

From the vicinity of the doorway between the kitchen and the living room, this shows the double set of windows that adorn the front of the house.

Here we are in the back right corner of the dining room, looking toward the front door.

From in front of the pantry, we look back to the kitchen. Not a bad layout. Nice and compact.

This kitchen view looks toward the living and dining room. That's the pantry right in the middle, with the door cracked open.

Here's our master bedroom. Closets are along the left-hand wall.

And if we sat in the sink in the master bathroom, this is what we might see.

This looks down the stairs at the living room and front door.

Here is a view looking out toward the open space above the living room.
