This is a house design reminiscent of some of the Sears Modern Home designs, except that the front porch is small (compared to houses of 90 years ago), and the entrance foyer extends up to the second floor. That feature is very much a current design trend. Well, and if you consider the number of bathrooms and the sizes and layout of the closets ... I guess this design is really only slightly dated-looking.
There's not much that's unusual about the first floor. The dining room has a wall of built-in cabinets, and there's a small office (with a closet) just off the dining room. I made the doors to the office sliding doors so they would not be in the way. The kitchen is U-shaped with an island. It could just as easily not have the island, and so have room for a small breakfast table. The laundry and half bath are joined. A door between them might be an idea, but honestly, there really isn't room for both to occupied at the same time. The wall between them really could be eliminated. There is both a small front and back porch. As mentioned, the front entrance foyer extends to the second story, and the first floor, overall, has a nice circular flow to it.

On the second floor are four decently sized bedrooms. The baths are rather small, though, especially the master bath. It would be possible to sacrifice some space in the master bedroom (or, perhaps the large, walk-in closet) to make a bit more space for the master bath. Note, though, that cost is saved in putting the 2 toilets back-to-back.
This is my obligatory night shot. No, I probably won't stop doing these kinds of images.
Looking down the hall (and up the stairs) from just inside the front door. That's the laundry/half bath through the open door at the end of the hall.
Living room, from just outside the doorway between the entry and the living room. It's small, but certainly not tiny.

Kitchen image #2. This looks from just inside the back door.
Kitchen image #3. This is the only other interesting angle.
This view of the dining room shows off the row of built-in cabinets and the bow windows.
This dining room view shows the office, with the sliding doors open.
Finally, this is from the hallway upstairs, looking down toward the front door. The open door on the right leads to the master bedroom.
