Contemporary House Designs

I have arbitrarily divided my house designs into several rough categories. Of course, there is also a "Miscellaneous Designs" category for completed designs that don't fit into a nice, neat category.

Suburban Contemporary Series

These designs all follow the same (or similar) program. They are not the same, but are based on the same design restrictions. Give them a look, you might like what you see.

Shown here at left is Suburban Contemporary #4, which (despite the number) the first design in the series.

Country Home Series

These designs are (mostly) houses that seemed too "nice" to be part of the Tract House Series. Think of these as upscale suburban homes that you might see in outlying areas.

Shown here at left is Country Home #1.

Tract House Series

Not to disparage the typical suburban subdivision builder-designed and built house (I lived in one for several years), I thought I would try my hand with some of these.

What characterizes them mostly is the small size (below 2000 sq. ft.) and lack of expensive extras (like curved walls).

There are only three five six designs in this section, so far, but I have about four others "on the drawing board" that will eventually be posted.

Shown here is Tract House #3a.

Miscellaneous Designs

These designs are those that don't particularly fit anywhere else. But don't miss the Classic Victorian design, it's very nice. Also posted is Post Modern #2A, a fully re-rendered version of my favorite "original" design.

Shown here is Classic Victorian #1.
